national expansion
We are expanding NATIONALLY RIGHT NOW, and YOU can lead us in your city or town! As a City Lead, you would establish a citywide leadership team and you and your team would create Civic Education clubs at schools, organize walkouts/protests against Trump's attacks on our constitution & communities, host events, and run social media accounts. Fill out the interest form below to attend online infosessions.
different roles
-
Become a City Leader! We need 1-3 City Leaders per city in the US, and we currently need leaders in every city besides New York City. This is a high-commitment role in which you would create a citywide leadership team, and you and your team would reach out to schools and students across the whole city to amass as big of a community as possible. You and your team would establish civic education clubs in these schools, organize protests/walkouts on our national days of action, host fundraisers, and other events that promote civic engagement and advocate for democracy.
-
Join a City Leadership Team! If you have a specific skill and would rather contribute in one or specific ways rather that being the City Lead, you can also join a city leadership team. You could run a social media account, plan events, lead civic education research, etc, for your state.
-
Become a School Captain! If you would not like to lead outreach beyond your school and would rather focus on leading protest/civic education efforts within your school community, then you could be a School Captain!
national action
We will be planning a nation-wide protest/walkout/rally/day-of-action in the upcoming schoool year. We have not yet decided on a date, but the demands of the national protest will be to uphold the constitution's protection over immigrants and education. Each city with a City Leader and leadership team will have their own local meeting in which student speakers, singers, and leaders will speak or perform. After two years of planning citywide school walkouts with over 500 NYC students from 30+ schools, we are here to help students with every aspect of rally planning!
city leadership autonomy
Our New York City branch facilitates civic education clubs at 30 schools, plans art & poetry events, hosts fundraiser bakesales, learning events, know-your-rights style events, a social media page, and weekly committee sessions. As city leaders, you will establish a big enough leadership team as you can to make as much of this action happen as possible!
